Olympic champion's show trial nearly leads to divorce
The couple has been together for a long time and has three children, yet they still quarrel periodically and have apparently already sought help from a family psychologist.
Family drama erupted on the show «Bolshoi Kush» (Big Jackpot). Long-standing personal issues surfaced inside an Olympic champion«s marriage. During one challenge, contestants had to run a distance wearing boards instead of shoes and balancing coconuts on their heads. But instead of supporting each other, spouses Artur Dalaloyan and Olga Borodina launched into a public row.
The spouses performed poorly on the task because they failed to listen to each other and constantly argued.
— He doesn«t hear me, doesn»t listen. He does everything on his own. That«s how it is in our life, too. Even a psychologist told him that, — the athlete»s wife commented on the scandal.
The scandal nearly led to divorce.
Indeed, in the third episode viewers saw the Olympic champion snap at his wife, refusing to do the task the way she advised. Even the hosts noticed how poorly coordinated the couple was during the challenge. And that inevitably affected their results. The Dalaloyans were among the last to reach the finish.

Alena Povysheva admitted she had warm relations with her opponent but always fought to the end for her teammate Sergey Kashnikov«s interests.
— We can get a divorce, — his wife said, not hiding her exhaustion.
— We survived another crisis on this show, — Olga Borodina added, describing their situation on the program.
Even though it was clear the couple is not used to publicly showing what goes on in their family, at the end of the commentary Artur Dalaloyan still found the strength to apologize and admit he was wrong.
However, this team wasn«t the only one causing a stir in the new episode. Contestants began plotting new game moves. For instance, comedian Yulia Akhmedova suggested that TV host Kamila Kharisova and hockey player Pyotr Karpov collaborate, even though they»re not in the same coalition. The comedienne floated a rumor that she wanted to turn the game upside down and secretly feed information to the «independent» pair, so that at a certain moment she could take the money and build her own coalition with them.
The pair of Karpov and Kharisova believed in these intentions and seemed to agree. However, viewers will later see it was merely a plan by the big alliance led by Ida Galich. They needed to find neutral players to periodically stash the big jackpot there.
Yet this plan might soon be scrapped, since already at the suitcase ceremony the pair of Karpov and Kharisova broke their agreements and did not swap suitcases with Margo Dyachenkova and Daniel Vegas.
Although viewers might have thought the episode«s finale would be predictable, and those whom Ida Galich»s coalition wanted would be eliminated, the show«s creators decided to spring a surprise. After handing the black mark to Angelika Stubailo and Roman Naguchyev, the winners of one of the contests — Lina Dzhebisashvili and Ivan Pyshnenko — had to draw the names of another pair.
As a result, those players had to face off again in an intellectual contest. Ironically, the second pair of players turned out to be the experts from the «What? Where? When?» club — Alena Povysheva and Sergey Kashnikov. It was Alena Povysheva and Roman Naguchyev who were rumored to have a mutual attraction on the project, and now they are forced to play against each other.
In the end, the pair of Angelika Stubailo and Roman Naguchyev lost the final challenge — they were the ones sent home.
