In Samara on Moskovskoye Shosse, a bath-and-gastronomy complex for 120 guests has opened. The establishment«s website promises an old-town atmosphere, traditions recreated with love, oak shelves, wooden décor with patterns, and archival photos that transport visitors to 19th-century Samara.
«Gubernskiye Bani» (Provincial Baths) boasts a large steam room for 50 people with the city«s only 40-ton stone oven, a huge restaurant serving Volga cuisine and house-made kvass. Guests can also enjoy ice baths, a jacuzzi, and an outdoor area.
«The ice baths, massages with healing oils, tea ceremonies, and traditional cuisine make the rest not only beneficial but truly atmospheric. We have combined the sacred meaning of the bath with modern comfort to give cleansing to the body, soul, and mind. Gubernskiye Bani in Samara is not just a rest, but a journey into history and traditions, where every guest becomes part of a living culture,» the official site raves.
A correspondent from 63.RU did not take their word for it and personally tested the new bath complex — see the result in the short video.
All the pros and cons of the establishment, identified from the independent testing, are detailed in a full review — available at the link.
