Neighboring Tyumen to Host Second Water Carnival

In Tyumen on August 8, the second 72 SAP FEST — a large-scale water festival — will take place, where participants will don bright costumes and paddle in a long procession along the Tura River. Participation in our paddle is free — all you need is registration on the website 72supfest.ru, a stand-up paddleboard, and a good mood.

Last year, 700 people became participants of the festival, with thousands of spectators cheering from the shore. Participants were not only Tyumen residents but also guests from other cities. The editor-in-chief of 72.RU, Elena Poznakhareva, talks about this in more detail.

«Last year we held the first paddleboard festival in Tyumen, and there were many guests and tourists among the participants. Paddleboard enthusiasts came to us from all over the Urals, as well as from Omsk, Novosibirsk, and St. Petersburg. Some even became winners in the carnival categories. It is gratifying that our festival not only provides an opportunity to paddle along the Tura but also shows guests what an interesting and beautiful city Tyumen is. We are waiting for participants from all over Russia,» she invites participants.

What will happen at the 72 SAP FEST? Of course, participants will not just paddle down the river and disperse. At the finish, we will first sum up the results of our contests — we will award participants for the best costumes and more. Secondly, the festival will continue on land. There will be photo zones, food, and various activities for children and adults. So you can come with the whole family.

There is another nomination established by our partner, the government of the Tyumen region. It is called Russian Cultural Code.

You don«t have to bring your own board — you can rent one in advance from our partners. For 2,000 rubles (about $21 at current rates), the board will be delivered to the start, inflated, and you will also get a paddle and life jacket.
