Maslenitsa week in Yaroslavl will take place from February 16 to 22, 2026. City authorities announced the start of the annual «Beauty of Maslenitsa» contest.
The Yaroslavl mayor«s office clarified: »Anyone can participate in the contest — both individual authors and author groups (family, work, school, student, mixed, etc.). The number of works submitted by participants is not limited.«
Applications are accepted until February 10. They can be submitted via email at yarmetodkabinet@yandex.ru or in person at the culture department of the mayor«s office at 78 Bolshoy Oktyabrskaya Street.
According to the contest regulations, «To sum up the contest results, the founder creates a contest commission consisting of professional artists, applied arts masters, representatives of the contest founder, and folk art specialists.»
All participants will receive commemorative diplomas. The authors of the best works will be additionally awarded prizes, the specific nature of which has not yet been disclosed.
