Maria Gorbun: I'll Do Laundry to Avoid Show Drama

Yaroslavl actress Maria Gorbun has joined the filming of the popular project «Survive in Istanbul». According to the program rules, participants who lose in challenges perform punishments. The team Gorbun was assigned to had to do household chores: while some cleaned, the actress herself had to wash laundry by hand.

«Let me be the most boring and forgettable participant of the reality show. I»m even ready to wash everyone«s clothes by hand — just don»t drag me into intrigues, I beg you,« Gorbun wrote on her social media page.

During filming, the actress confessed to host Pavel Volya that she has been accustomed to housework since childhood. Her mother taught her this, and now she passes on the skills to her 11-year-old daughter. Pavel Volya asked: «Masha, have you ever washed by hand in your life?» «I have!» Gorbun proudly replied. «And I even taught my daughter. She»s already 11 years old. Because it«s a very cool life skill. Of course, now there are washing machines and dry cleaners, but in childhood, the first thing my mom taught me was to wash. Because it will definitely come in handy.»

«Survive in Istanbul» is a Russian reality show on the TNT channel, filmed in Turkey. In the project, two teams of eight people compete: a star team and a team of ordinary participants. They live in Spartan conditions and earn food, amenities, and immunity through physical and psychological challenges.

After key tasks, one of the teams or individual players faces the threat of elimination. The decision is made by voting or through a decisive challenge depending on the episode. The participant who reaches the final will receive a cash prize.
