Lawyer from Rubtsovsk wins 'Candy' show using laundry tub as drum

Resident of Altai Krai Dmitry Zaretsky has won the show «Candy» (16+) on TNT, the channel«s press service reports.

The lawyer from Rubtsovsk said that despite having his own legal company, he has been passionate about rap and hip-hop for many years. The clip that made it to the show turned out to be autobiographical not only for the participant himself, who performed under the pseudonym Particularly Sober, but also for the show«s host Garik Martirosyan.
«I»ve been into rap and hip-hop since 1995. I started recording my first songs on cassettes back in 1998, when there was literally nothing for it. Instead of a drum, I used a laundry tub; instead of a drumstick — a rolling pin for dough. I have my own audience in my city and within Altai Krai,« he shared.
On the show, the song of the Rubtsovsk resident was performed by rapper Vitya AK-47 and the Buranovsky Babushki. The participant admitted that this was an experiment for him.
As a result, Dmitry not only won over the jury and audience with his charm and talent, but also won the main prize — 500,000 rubles (approx. $5,000 at current rates).
«I experienced bright emotions — my work was seen by many famous people. I realized that I need to raise the bar further and make the quality of my musical product better and higher. Now I»m preparing many different interesting projects: several video clips with new ideas that probably no one in Russia has even done before me,« the lawyer noted.
Recall that in the show «Candy», unknown songwriters get the opportunity not only to talk about their work, but also to turn their song into a real «candy» with the help of show business stars.
