In Kurgan, residents are unable to get refunds for the canceled show «The Nutcracker on Ice with a Symphony Orchestra.» A reader contacted the 45.RU editorial office with this problem. The show was supposed to take place in Kurgan on December 21, 2025, at the N. Parushev Ice Palace, but the organizers postponed it to December 19, 2026.

The organizers« website lists a new date for the Kurgan performance of the ice show.

«I had bought seven tickets. One from the official website, others through a bank app. As soon as I found out about the postponement, I applied for a refund on the official website. The refund is still pending, more than a month has passed. Technical support of the ticket service already responded in January that the organizer has no funds on their balance,» said Dmitry.

A provided screenshot displays the ticket service«s reply about the pending refund request.

«In the Telegram channel indicated on the organizers» website, they told me to wait. Either the money will be returned sometime, or in a year I can go to the show. But since it«s postponed for a year across the country, I doubt anything will happen. I believe that this is essentially not a postponement, but a cancellation,» — the Kurgan resident«s communication with the organizers via social media led nowhere. And an official letter to the legal address in Moscow is still at the post office, no one has received it.

The bank«s response indicates that refunds must be processed directly by the event organizer.

At the bank, they told Dmitry that the refund should be made by the organizer and gave an email address. However, no one has responded to the Kurgan resident«s emails.

Meanwhile, Dmitry filed a complaint with the Rospotrebnadzor office (the consumer protection agency) for the Kurgan Region and started communicating with ticket buyers from other regions. In Yekaterinburg, due to mass complaints from residents who bought tickets, the Rospotrebnadzor office is suggesting joining a class-action lawsuit. In Kurgan, such lawsuits are also being prepared.

«There are complaints, they are being processed. The information provided by citizens in their applications is grounds for the Office to file lawsuits in judicial bodies, since the service provider of the show does not voluntarily agree to satisfy the demand of ticket buyers for a refund of funds. The lawsuits will be filed in the coming days,» 45.RU was told by the press service of the Rospotrebnadzor office for the Kurgan Region.

Other Kurgan residents who find themselves in a similar situation are advised to also contact Rospotrebnadzor.

According to the service «Kontur. Focus,» LLC «Ice Seasons» was established on January 29, 2020, in Moscow. The main area of activity is organizing recreation and entertainment. The head of the organization is Stanislav Zylev. In 2024, «Ice Seasons» earned 41.8 million rubles (approximately $418,000 at current rates), with a net profit of 2.6 million rubles (about $26,000). In June 2025, the state autonomous institution of the Novosibirsk Region «SIBIR-ARENA» filed a lawsuit against the firm «Ice Seasons» for failure to fulfill obligations amounting to 3.25 million rubles (about $32,500). In October, the court fully satisfied the plaintiff«s demands.

Our colleagues from 63.RU wrote about the problem with refunding money for tickets to this show. A resident of Samara, Danil, managed to get a refund through a bank app. Dmitry tried to use the advice, but enough time has passed and the purchase operation for tickets in the bank app cannot be disputed.

The show «The Nutcracker on Ice with a Symphony Orchestra» was supposed to take place in more than 20 cities across Russia. According to information from the official website of the organizers LLC «Ice Seasons,» some events have been postponed to January 2027.
