Ilya Averbukh to Conduct Master Class in Tyumen

On January 31, at the Tyumen rink «Heart of Tyumen on Uyezdnaya,» Olympic champion Ilya Averbukh will conduct an open master class. The event is organized for all comers, where participants will be shown basic elements and helped to practice skating techniques. As part of the visit, the figure skater will also meet with students from local sports schools. The event will take place as part of the Winter Fest festival.

The program will begin at 13:00 with the opening of an interactive zone at the rink, where guests can participate in prize draws. The master class by Ilya Averbukh itself will start at 14:00.

The day will conclude at 17:00 with a large-scale ice show featuring figure skating stars. Among the performers:

• Olympic champions Tatiana Totmianina and Maxim Marinin, as well as Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski;
• Figure skaters Sofia Samodurova, Ksenia Sinitsyna, Daniil Samsonov, the duo of Maria Golubeva and Alexei Uskov, Artem Kovalev, and the pair of Sofia Shevchenko and Andrei Ezhov.

Also, athletes from the Tyumen Region Figure Skating Federation and students of the «Priboy» sports school will take part in the exhibition numbers.
