Figure skating star Ilya Averbukh to visit Tyumen

In Tyumen on January 31, at the «Heart of Tyumen on Uyezdnaya» ice rink, figure skater and Olympic champion Ilya Averbukh will conduct a master class for all comers. Participants will be shown basic figure skating elements and helped to improve their technique. As part of the visit, he will also meet with students from Tyumen«s sports schools. The event will be part of the Winter Fest festival.

The celebration will begin at 1:00 PM. At that time, an interactive zone will open at the rink, where visitors can participate in prize draws. The athlete«s performance will start at 2:00 PM.

The program will conclude at 5:00 PM with an ice show. The audience will be treated to performances by Olympic champions Tatiana Totmianina and Maxim Marinin, Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski, as well as figure skaters Sofia Samodurova, Ksenia Sinitsyna, Daniil Samsonov, Maria Golubeva and Alexei Uskov, Artem Kovalev, Sofia Shevchenko and Andrei Ezhov. Demonstration numbers will also be performed by athletes from the Tyumen Region Figure Skating Federation and students of the «Priboy» sports school.
