Chelyabinsk man gives talisman to Jackie Chan

Roman Sultanov from Chelyabinsk met Jackie Chan in Kazakhstan. In Aktau, the famous actor is filming the new movie Armor of God 4: Ultimatum. Roman shared how he managed to see his idol and hand over a talisman.

Jackie Chan is a Hong Kong, Chinese, and American actor, stunt choreographer, singer, and martial artist. One of the world«s most famous action heroes, he is known for his acrobatic style, comedic talent, and use of everyday objects in fights.

«I went there on purpose — I»m just overwhelmed with emotions! What I pulled off is impossible!« Roman told 74.RU. »Because there was a ton of security, and you couldn«t take photos anywhere, with anyone, no way. There were other stars too — MiyaGi and another artist who can»t be named in Russia — Nurlan Saburov.«

Roman not only took a selfie with Jackie Chan but also gave him a gift: a T-shirt with a symbol of Chelyabinsk — a camel with factory chimneys smoking behind it and a meteorite falling. Roman calls it a talisman of culture.

«Jackie Chan has contracts with big companies and is not allowed to take anything in his hands or talk to anyone, but I started hugging him, and right away I heard: »Hands, hands, hands, no, no, no.« Literally three seconds and he was off. But I managed to hand him the box — a talisman of the Chelyabinsk region,» Roman continues. «The box design was developed together with Chelyabinsk designer Yuri Ponomarev. It»s like in the cartoon «The Adventures of Jackie Chan,» where he searches for talismans. So it turned out we gave him a piece of Chelyabinsk region«s culture, because Chelyabinsk has been recognized as the cultural capital.»

Roman added that the new film with Jackie Chan is being shot in Aktau because of the wonderful landscape: dunes, sands, the Caspian Sea, and cliffs.

Chelyabinsk really is the cultural capital — right now, filming is underway in the city for a new TNT series about a raja taxi driver.
