Andrey Gaydulyan 'Canceled' by BTS Fans Over World Cup Rant

A single nice photo will not be enough to save the actor now.
Andrey Gaydulyan suddenly found himself in a scandal over the FIFA World Cup. The actor shared on his social media that he was watching the final, and in doing so seriously angered fans of Spain, Argentina, and K-pop group BTS. Now the actor is being widely canceled online, and even an apologetic video didn«t help, only made things worse.
The story that brought an army of furious BTS fans to the actor«s comments.
BTS performed at the 2026 World Cup during halftime. A heated Gaydulyan, eager to see the match«s outcome, was extremely displeased. On his social media, he showed his middle finger at the TV broadcasting the match and called the performance a “cockroach circus.”
After such words, the actor was immediately attacked with demands to apologize for insulting world-famous people. BTS fans believed the actor had humiliated not only the singers but the entire Asian people.
Gaydulyan tried to justify himself and recorded another video. In it, Andrey stated that he has no complaints against artists who perform during breaks; he simply dislikes that show elements are added to the program at all.
— I have absolutely no complaints about BTS. They are great guys. The problem is that I love everything authentic, or as they say now, «authentic.» When I watch the World Cup, I want to watch the World Cup. And all these shows, which are completely alien to the World Cup, provoke a negative reaction in me because it«s commercialization, but I want something real, — Gaydulyan tried to explain.
BTS fans did not accept Gaydulyan«s words. They flooded the actor with hundreds of angry comments on social media. Moreover, they are urging people to mass-unfollow him and send complaints to get his profile banned.
— Look at how global stars speak about BTS! They are proud to know them! And you disgraced yourself with your story, — wrote a user under the nickname olgashtirts.
— Apologies are out of place here. We don«t give a damn about what you like or don»t like! «Authentically» keep your little hands to yourself and don«t you dare insult BTS. We await an apology, — raged aliyartmy.
— Devaluing others« labor: BTS are artists who work around the clock, fill stadiums around the world, and make a huge contribution to the industry. Calling their professional work a »circus« just because it»s not to your taste is stupid, — believes jasmin_daily.02.
Gaydulyan was not the only one to catch a wave of hate for his words about BTS. The football player Andrey Arshavin also got some, though to a lesser degree, from the group«s fans. At the 2026 World Cup stands, he was asked his opinion on the group»s music, to which he succinctly replied:
— When I«ve had a drink, I can dance. At that point it doesn»t matter, whether it«s Dune or BTS, — Arshavin said.
In the comments, users noted that the footballer walked on thin ice. And Arshavin was saved only by the fact that he honestly admitted he didn«t know the group»s songs and refrained from judgment.
