Alexander Petrov shares how son's birth changed him

Actor Alexander Petrov discussed how the birth of his son changed him. On the program «Show Voli», the artist admitted that his life is now divided into before and after.

‘After this, you begin to understand that everything that happened in your life before—movies, awards, premieres, bright events—pales in comparison to this moment,’ Petrov said.

The first child for the actor and his wife Victoria Antonova was born on April 6, 2025. Petrov was present at the birth and cut the umbilical cord himself.

‘It was a cosmic experience. I recommend all men go through this. I cut the umbilical cord. I think it should be exclusively at the man’s desire—of course, no one should be forced. But I really advise everyone to experience it, because it changes your life into before and after,’ said Alexander Petrov.

The actor also shared that after the child«s birth, his attitude towards work changed.

‘Working has become easier: if something didn’t work out, there was a bad shooting day, or I was very tired, before I would worry a lot and get worked up. Now, when I come home, all of that just evaporates,’ Petrov noted.

At the end, the actor admitted that he and his wife want to have more children in the future.
