Alexander Petrov: How Fatherhood Changed His Life
Actor Alexander Petrov called participating in his wife«s childbirth and the birth of his son an event that surpasses all professional achievements in significance.
«After this, you start to understand that everything that happened in your life before — movies, awards, premieres, bright events — all fades in comparison to this moment,» Petrov stated.
Petrov and his wife Viktoria Antonova«s first child was born on 6 April 2025.
The actor was personally present at the childbirth and cut the umbilical cord.
«It was a cosmic experience. I advise all men to go through this. I cut the umbilical cord. I think it should be exclusively by the man»s wish — of course, no one should be forced. But I really advise everyone to experience it, because it changes life into before and after,« the artist shared.
Fatherhood also influenced his approach to work.
«My attitude towards work has become easier: if something didn»t work out, there was a bad shooting day, or I was very tired, before I would worry a lot and stress myself out. Now, when I come home, all of that just evaporates,« the actor noted.
Alexander Petrov also added that he and his wife plan to have more children in the future.
On 25 January, the actor celebrated his 37th birthday.
