Woman Slams Vladivostok Schools After Relocation

A woman who moved from Yakutia to Vladivostok with her family has complained about the local education system. They have been living there for five months, and according to her, when a child does not understand a topic at school, they are simply sent to a tutor. The video appeared on the Telegram channel «MAMPA | Parents of Primorye.»
«Someone needs to say that education in Vladivostok is lousy. When a child doesn»t understand a topic, you«re sent to a tutor, or figure it out yourself. There are many private schools here with the same attitude. If you don»t understand the subject, that«s your problem. Or rather, your parents» problem,« the woman said.
She clarified that she moved from Yakutsk, where, in her opinion, education is better. As an example, she noted that in Vladivostok, one teacher may teach several subjects, indicating a shortage of staff.
«We enrolled in one of the best schools in Vladivostok, but the education there... If you want to move to Vladivostok with children, with little ones, think about whether it»s worth moving them when they haven«t finished school. You»ll spend money on a tutor, or your child will get a substandard education. I don«t know what to do myself,» the woman said.
She added that she will later share what decision she makes and how she will cope with the unexpected problem.

The famous Russian political figure questioned the data announced by Nakhodka officials.
The discussion was sparked by a dialogue between Governor Oleg Kozhemyako and the head of Nakhodka«s education department, Elena Mukhamadieva, during which the official stated that the average teacher salary in the Primorsky city is 89,000 rubles (about $970 at current rates). At the same time, according to her, considering that about 27% of teachers are pensioners, the »average« amount allegedly reaches 114,000 rubles (about $1,240), and the maximum salary for an informatics teacher is up to 150,000 rubles (about $1,630).
