A teacher with 43 years of experience explained why teachers are leaving schools. Under the NGS publication, many comments gathered in which Novosibirsk residents expressed their opinions on the modern education system. We have collected the most interesting ones.
«The status of teachers needs to be raised! They should have their rights, and most importantly — the ability to refuse to teach inappropriate students: let their parents hire tutors. And the salary should be higher. But teachers should also behave exemplarily and not disgrace themselves, like some,» said a Novosibirsk resident.
«Want money — go be a tutor, teachers won»t be paid much,« wrote a Siberian.
«‘A student needs a combat-ready teacher.’ Is a lesson like a battle between teacher and students?» asked a user.
«Yes. And with parents — already from elementary school,» replied another.
«It is very difficult to teach in a modern school. Let»s start with parents: scandalmongers, many ill-bred, and they raise children to be like themselves. And the teacher has to twist and turn to please everyone. Schools have gone in the wrong direction,« believes a Novosibirsk resident.
«If a teacher has authority, then they will not blame parents and students, run away from school, citing salary. Conclusion: not everyone can be a teacher, a calling is needed. And those who complain and run away — good riddance,» wrote a townsman.
«For the calling — work yourselves. And I work for money,» added another.
«There are many infuriating factors. First and foremost, for me personally — homework. Everything is set up in school such that parents are forced to sit with their child for hours. All sorts of school »pranks« are maddening: reports on physical education, for example, in third grade, extortions, collections and other nonsense. What are they doing there in school, these teachers? What do they teach, if small children have hours of homework? Do they get tired? Well, okay. But clearly not from having taught the children something,» shared a user.
