The Unified State Exam (USE) will start no earlier than June 1 in subsequent years, said Rosobrnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science) head Anzor Muzayev. The decision, made by order of the president, has become permanent.
«There is a presidential order, and it is permanent. From now on and in subsequent years, we can start the exam campaign no earlier than June 1,» Muzayev said in an interview with TASS.
According to the head of Rosobrnadzor, the innovation fully justified itself in 2026. He explained that previously exams sometimes started on May 23, when the last school bells had not yet taken place. Now teachers and graduates have time to calmly finish the school year and prepare for the tests.
«Now it has been shifted to June 1 — there is an opportunity to calmly hold the last bell and prepare for exams,» Muzayev noted.
The exams proceeded normally in all regions, with no leaks of materials, said Minister of Education (Minprosveshcheniya) Sergey Kravtsov. According to Muzayev, most complaints concern organizational issues: the ban on bringing water or snacks, untimely distribution of answer sheets. However, some graduates tried to cheat.
