Teacher at Ufa lyceum beats 7th grader with belt during lesson

A video is circulating on social media showing an adult man beating a schoolboy with a belt. The author of the recording claims that the footage shows a teacher from Ufa Lyceum No. 161 and a misbehaving student. UFA1.RU reached out to the institution for comment, and they confirmed that they are looking into the incident.

According to the person who recorded the video, it shows a seventh-grade lesson. He noted that the boy was swearing and disrupting the class. As a result, the teacher beat him and finally gave him a kick. Moreover, as can be heard in the recording, the other children found it amusing. The schoolboy himself, judging by his voice, is outraged.

Lyceum No. 161 said that they are dealing with the situation. Detailed explanations about what happened were promised to be given later in the reception. As soon as we receive a comment from the institution«s staff, we will publish it on the website. The prosecutor»s office of Bashkortostan reported that it is conducting an inspection.

Recall that Lyceum No. 161 is located in the Dema district of Ufa, on Issledovatelskaya Street. It was opened in 2017. The institution is headed by director Gulnara Gimazetdinova.
