Spring Break Starts in a Few Weeks: Here Are the Dates
Some students, including first-graders and those on a semester system, will begin their break earlier in February and March 2026.
Spring break in schools will run from 28 March to 5 April 2026. The Ministry of Education has already sent the corresponding recommendations to all educational organizations.
The break will last nine days and will conclude the longest, third quarter. First-graders are a bit luckier. They have an additional break from 21 February to 1 March.
However, for those children who study by semesters rather than quarters, the schedule is different. Before the end of March, they will have another break. Schoolchildren will go on break from 21 February to 1 March. Then again from 28 March, just like other students.
The Ministry recommends adhering to the established dates so that the educational process is organized and convenient for everyone. However, schools have the right to adjust the schedule at their own discretion. Therefore, it is better to check this information with the administration of your educational institution.
The winter break for schoolchildren lasted from 31 December 2025 to 11 January 2026. The upcoming spring break will be the last in the current school year before the summer break, which, according to recommendations, will last from 27 May to 31 August 2026.
The school year will take 34 weeks. The end date has already been set. Last bell ceremonies in schools will ring on 26 May, and graduation parties will be held on 27 June.
