The Rostov Education Department has introduced a free attendance regime for schools on February 3, 2026, due to abnormal frosts and snowfall.

In the department«s statement, it is indicated:

On February 3, 2026, a free attendance regime will be introduced. Parents independently decide on the need for their child«s participation in the educational process.

If a child does not come to lessons, it will not be counted as an unexcused absence. On this day, new material will not be studied, and homework will not be assessed.

Heavy snowfall hit Rostov as early as the afternoon of February 2, significantly complicating the situation in the city.

For emergency cases related to bad weather, the unified rescue services call number — 112 — is available.
