Sasovo School No. 1 Defects Prompt Legal Action
The contractor had been previously requested to fix the issues but did not take action.
Prosecutors identified violations in Secondary School No. 1 in the city of Sasovo. However, the institution is relatively new — it was built in 2021, as clarified by the press service of the Ryazan Regional Prosecutor«s Office.
Problems were found with the roof, lighting, and surface coverings on the premises. Cracks were discovered in the interior spaces.
The contractor is required to correct all defects within five years from the date of the contract signing. This period has not yet expired.
«The district administration repeatedly notified the construction firm about the need to eliminate the shortcomings, but the demands were ignored,» added the Ryazan prosecutor«s office.
The prosecutor had to go to court with a lawsuit to oblige the contractor to fix the defects under the contract. The demands were fully satisfied by the court.
The correction of the deficiencies is under the control of the prosecutor«s office.
