Prosecutors Complete Inspection of Tyumen Kindergarten

In autumn, a female blogger got a job at a private kindergarten in Tyumen. She recorded video of teachers yelling at children and providing them with poor-quality meals.
After being dismissed, the blogger published the footage on social media, but later deleted it, explaining that she had received «warnings.» The institution«s management, in turn, presented a different interpretation of the events.
The publication caused a wide public outcry and attracted the attention of the prosecutor«s office, which initiated an inspection of the kindergarten»s activities.
«The inspection has been carried out, violations have been identified, and responsive measures have been taken,» the supervisory authority stated, without specifying exactly what measures were applied.
The head of the kindergarten, who had previously promised to announce the results of the prosecutor«s inspection, ultimately refused to provide any comments.
The scandal has caused concern among parents in Tyumen. Many of them have begun demanding the installation of video cameras in the groups to enable remote monitoring of their children. Lawyers, however, note that such a practice contradicts current legislation.
