Nizhny Novgorod students complain to Mizulina about toilet ban

Complaints highlight that teachers are not allowing students to use toilets during lessons in some Russian schools.
Ekaterina Mizulina, head of the Safe Internet League, published complaints from Russian students about being banned from using the toilet during lessons in her blog. One of the appeals came from Nizhny Novgorod.
According to the activist, the bans may be related to the fact that some students smoke vapes in the toilets. However, because of this, students who genuinely need to use the toilet also suffer.
«At school No. 85, there is the same problem. Teachers are prohibited from letting children go to the toilet during lessons. Teachers either do not let them go, or do so with a scandal, or only one student can go to the toilet per lesson,» it is stated in the appeal.
The editorial staff of NN.RU contacted the school administration. They promised to call back to comment on this information.
Previously, Nizhny Novgorod students appealed to Mizulina after a stabbing at school No. 117. The children wrote to the activist that classmates and teachers made fun of a boy who decided to take a weapon in hand and settle scores with his offenders.
