Kukharuk: Over 25,000 Applications, Record Perfect Scores

There are five days left until the end of the admission campaign in the universities of Yugra (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Russia). As the region«s governor, Ruslan Kukharuk, reported, more than 25,000 applications have already been submitted for higher education programs. High competition is observed among technical fields. The competition among applicants has become more intense due to a record number of perfect scorers in Yugra. After retaking the Unified State Exam on additional days, the number of graduates who received the maximum score increased to 112.

Currently, 75 specialties can be studied at Yugra«s universities. This year, 7 new training profiles have appeared, including mechatronics and robotics. Students will be taught to operate unmanned aerial vehicles: how to design, program, maintain, and implement such systems.

Document submission for Yugra«s colleges also continues. This year, 1,150 more budget-funded places have been allocated than last year, totaling 8,895. The competition is two applicants per place, with over 28,000 applications already submitted for secondary vocational education programs.

The governor added that two more «Professionalitet» clusters will be opened next year — this is a federal project where students are trained by their future employers at existing universities. The future clusters will begin training specialists in the fuel and energy complex and transportation.
