Kindergarten Owner Comments on Blogger's Video Scandal
The owner of the Tyumen kindergarten where a scandalous video with rude teachers was filmed has commented on the situation for the first time. She spoke not only about the consequences of the high-profile story but also about how the video«s author filmed the footage that outraged the public.
This concerns the kindergarten «Little Country,» located in a cottage in one of the districts of the Tyumen region. Recently, a woman named Elizaveta Semyonova got a job there, who also turned out to be a blogger. On her very first day of work, the Tyumen native realized that this was not the place for her. She filmed a video showing some fragments from the kindergarten«s life.
For example, Elizaveta reported that children were pushed, given small portions of food, threatened with injections, and that staff spoke disparagingly about parents in front of them. The girl was horrified by everything she saw. She felt it was her duty to warn the parents about what happened.
After the footage was made public, law enforcement and supervisory authorities, as well as public activists, became interested in the kindergarten. All of them initiated inspections at this institution.
However, despite the attacks from the public, the head of the kindergarten, Tamara Golyakova, admitted to a 72.RU journalist that parents who bring their children to her continue to do so and trust her. She plans to sue the blogger who portrayed her kindergarten in a negative light.
— There was no conflict between us and this girl. This girl came to intern as a teacher. But now it turns out that it was just a pretext. When she published her first post, she called for the destruction of our kindergarten in the same way she destroyed some children«s pool. After that, people started writing nasty things in the reviews, but all these people are not our visitors. They don»t bring their children to us, — explains Tamara Golyakova.
Immediately after the scandalous video appeared on social media, the head informed all parents about what happened. She organized a meeting where she tried to explain the situation.
— The turnout at the parent meeting was almost one hundred percent. Parents know the truth, they trust us.
Tamara Yuryevna also commented on the blogger«s remarks heard in the video.
— The fragments that made it into the video were taken out of context. This whole situation happened in the dining room during lunch, when the children came back from a walk, emotionally charged and hungry. They started noisily sitting down at the tables, before that running up to the serving table, grabbing bread, creating noise, movement, some chaos. Some hadn«t eaten yet, some had already eaten all the bread and decided to take away full plates of food, saying they were full. And to fix this situation, I said loudly: “Sit down and stop walking around with plates. I won»t give you bread, eat your soup.” After that, everyone in the dining room calmed down, the children started eating, — the head recounts.
An explanation was also found for the threats of injections: it turned out that the girl in the video has health special needs. And to calm her down and feed her, clear and short phrases are required.
— On that day, her mother brought her, she was in a not very good mood. The mother said, if she doesn«t eat by herself or starts misbehaving, then tell her about the injection. That is, the child»s own parents say this to their daughter. Moreover, when the contract was signed, this point was discussed, and official written permission was given for such phrasing when communicating with this specific child, — says Tamara Golyakova.
According to her words, the footage did not include moments when the children are already sitting calmly and having lunch.
As for the quality and quantity of food, there should be no complaints against the kindergarten on this matter. The head says that all menus are coordinated with Rospotrebnadzor, and they also regularly undergo inspections by sanitary doctors.
— Many of the captions on Elizaveta«s video do not match the footage itself. For example, she says the children didn»t eat, but in the video, a stack of empty plates is clearly visible. This is a very aggressive video edit.
Now, they are planning to sue the author of the video. Moreover, the blogger risks facing several lawsuits at once: for illegal filming of children and for damaging the reputation of the private kindergarten.
