Khanty-Mansi Schools Closed February 3 in Extreme Cold

Today, February 3, school closures have been announced in Yugra for the first shift. Students from grades 1 through 11 will not attend school. According to the «Gosuslugi. Mya Yugra» service, in some cities and settlements, air temperatures dropped to -38… -41°C (-36.4… -41.8°F).
List of cities where school closures were announced:
Surgut — from 1st to 11th grade;
Nizhnevartovsk — from 1st to 11th grade, according to the city education portal; from 1st to 8th grade, according to «Gosuslugi. Mya Yugra»;
Nefteyugansk — from 1st to 11th grade;
Khanty-Mansiysk — from 1st to 8th grade;
Kogalym — from 1st to 11th grade;
Langepas — from 1st to 8th grade;
Megion — from 1st to 8th grade;
Nyagan — from 1st to 4th grade;
Pokachi — from 1st to 11th grade;
Pyt-Yakh — from 1st to 11th grade;
Raduzhny — from 1st to 11th grade;
Lyantor — from 1st to 8th grade;
Beloyarsky — from 1st to 11th grade.
In addition, classes were canceled in a number of settlements in the Beloyarsky, Berezovsky, Nefteyugansky, Nizhnevartovsky, Oktyabrsky, Sovetsky, Surgutsky, and Khanty-Mansiysky districts.
