Khabirov orders bullying checks in all Bashkiria schools
The head of Bashkiria states that bullying in schools must be eradicated.
Inspections are forthcoming in schools of Bashkiria after an incident at a Ufa gymnasium where a student with an air rifle attacked a teacher and other teenagers. This follows from an order by the head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, at a meeting of the commission on juvenile affairs.
Khabirov called for developing response algorithms for such emergency situations, as well as conducting audits on bullying. Recall that upon arriving at the gymnasium where the incident occurred the day before, he promised to «sweep out» the management if the version that the shooter was bullied by classmates and teachers is confirmed.
«As long as we do not stop the practice of hushing up bullying, we will not establish order. If facts of pressure on children are confirmed and lead to serious consequences, responsibility should be borne, among others, by heads of educational institutions», — said the head of Bashkiria.
