Deputy minister warned for ignoring mother's complaint
Prosecutors in Voronezh obtained an administrative warning for Deputy Education Minister Elena Gantselevich after she failed to properly respond to a mother of many children's complaint about meal compensation for disabled children studying at home.

First Deputy Minister of Education Elena Gantselevich was brought to administrative responsibility for violating the procedure for considering citizens« appeals. Under Article 5.59 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, the magistrate»s court issued her a warning — the regional prosecutor«s office reported.
The reason for the prosecutor«s inspection of the high-ranking official»s work was a complaint from a mother of many children.
— The woman applied to the ministry with a request for compensation for meals for children with disabilities who study at home. The response was not given on the merits of the questions raised, and the procedure for appeal was not explained, — prosecutors explained.
As a result, the supervisory authority initiated an administrative offense case. And the magistrate«s court, by the way, showed great leniency towards Elena Gantselevich: for callousness and formalism, she faced a fine of 5,000 to 10,000 rubles ($53 to $105 at current rates). Earlier we reported how social security officials in the Voronezh region illegally denied payments of 12 million rubles (approximately $126,300 at current rates) to the son of a deceased SVO participant. After the prosecutor»s intervention, the matter went to court.
