Zabaykalsky Krai ranked 31st in a rating of Russian regions based on how much gasoline can be bought with the average salary at December 2025 prices. The study was prepared by the Center for Economic Research RIA Rating, using official statistics data.

The ranking indicated that in December 2025, in Zabaykalsky Krai, a liter of gasoline brand AI-92 could be bought for 72.68 rubles (approximately $1 USD at current rates). With the net average salary, one could purchase 1165 liters of this fuel.

Moscow was at the top of the list — there, a liter of gasoline cost 61.43 rubles (about $1 USD at current rates). The salary would be enough for 2528 liters.

At the bottom of the list was the Republic of Ingushetia, where the average salary is only enough for 601 liters of 92-octane. Meanwhile, a liter costs 62.4 rubles (approximately $1 USD at current rates).
