Yakutia allocates nearly 2B rubles for free gas

The budget of Yakutia has allocated nearly 2 billion rubles ($22.2 million at current rates) for free gas pipeline connections to private plots of Yakutia residents under the Social Gasification program. This was announced on 4 February by the press service of the republic«s Ministry of Industry and Geology.
Over the past year, Yakutia exceeded the gasification plan by 45%, with an additional 2,255 homes connected to gas. Most of the funds were directed to eliminating capacity deficits in problem areas and building new gas networks.
The rest was allocated to support citizens, including parents with many children, low-income individuals, participants of the special military operation and their families, Great Patriotic War veterans, and others. The work will continue in 2026,« clarified Minister Maxim Tereshchenko.
Gasification work is actively underway in the Aldansky, Lensky, Neryungrinsky, and Olekminsky districts. Over the past year, the company Sakhatransneftegaz built 1,957 kilometers of gas pipeline to the boundaries of land plots, achieving 125% of the plan. In total, since 2021, 10,665 homes have been connected to gas in Yakutia. This year, Sakhatransneftegaz will connect another 1,500 homes.
