Siberian oil refinery maintenance postponed — will it affect Kuzbass?

Planned maintenance work at oil refineries in Siberia has been postponed to early autumn, despite a busy schedule. On Tuesday, July 21, the NGS42.RU editorial team learned from a Central Bank document whether this would affect the Kuzbass refinery.
The new repair dates are mentioned in an analytical report on the regional economy published on July 15. The regulator writes that the upgrades were postponed to autumn 2026 «to guarantee sufficient supply of petroleum products on the Russian market.»
For now, the refineries are operating at full capacity. According to the Central Bank, in May Siberian refineries of major holdings processed record volumes of oil. They are running at full power.
This measure will likely also affect the Yaisky Refinery (in Kemerovo Oblast), managed by JSC NeftekhimService, although there has been no official confirmation from the plant«s management yet. The Central Bank document does not name specific enterprises; it only lists the districts where the oil refineries are located.
Earlier, the NGS42.RU editorial team reported that at gas stations in the region, prices on fuel, have soared sharply, even though Rosstat claims that the region has the lowest prices in Siberia.
