Murmansk Oblast Raises Unemployment Benefits

From the beginning of February, the amounts of unemployment benefits changed in Murmansk Oblast. Regional payments were indexed by 5.6%, leading to increased financial support for citizens registered with the employment service.

During the first three months after registration, residents of the region can receive up to 22,200 rubles per month (approximately $247 at current rates). The calculation includes a northern regional bonus of 40%.

From the fourth month of job search up to six months, the maximum benefit amount drops to 8,700 rubles per month (about $97 at current rates). At the same time, the minimum payment threshold has also increased — it now stands at 2,600 rubles per month (approximately $29 at current rates).

Recall that maternity capital and benefits in Murmansk Oblast increased by 5.6%.
