As of February 1, 2026, several key payments for families with children and beneficiaries in Russia have been indexed by 5.6%. Here is a brief overview of what increased and the new amounts.

Maternity Capital

If the family has not yet used maternity capital, after indexation the amounts are as follows:

for the first child — 728,921.90 rubles (approximately $9,700 at current rates);

  • for the second child — 963,243.17 rubles (approximately $12,800 at current rates).

    If maternity capital was already received for the first child, then upon the birth of the second, an additional payment will be 234,321.27 rubles (approximately $3,100 at current rates). For those who have already partially spent maternity capital, the remaining amount on the certificate will be indexed.

    Childcare Allowance for Children Up to 1.5 Years

    For non-working parents as of February 1, 2026, the payment amount including the regional coefficient is 14,937.50 rubles per month (approximately $199 at current rates).

    Maternity Benefit

    The maximum benefit amount in Murmansk Oblast as of February 1, 2026 is 29,875.00 rubles (approximately $398 at current rates).

    Lump-Sum Payment for Childbirth or Adoption

    In Murmansk Oblast, the payment as of February 1, 2026 is 39,830.63 rubles (approximately $531 at current rates).

    Monthly Cash Payment and Set of Social Services

    These payments are received by federal beneficiaries — people with disabilities, combat veterans, participants of the Great Patriotic War, and other categories. The cost of the set of social services (SSS) in Murmansk Oblast as of February 1, 2026 is 1,825.25 rubles (approximately $24 at current rates). Indexation occurs automatically — no need to submit additional applications.
