Kurgan Oblast Updates Sick Leave and Maternity Benefit Payments
From January 1, 2026, in Kurgan Oblast, the amounts of benefits for sick leave, maternity, and childcare up to one and a half years have increased for working residents. This was announced by the press service of the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia.
The daily temporary disability benefit is now from 1,024.34 to 6,827.40 rubles (approximately $14 to $91 at current rates).
Maternity benefits in the oblast currently:
for 140 days: from 143,407 to 955,836 rubles (approximately $1,900 to $12,700 at current rates);
for 156 days: from 159,796 to 1,065,074 rubles (approximately $2,100 to $14,200 at current rates);
for 194 days: from 198,721 to 1,324,515 rubles (approximately $2,600 to $17,700 at current rates).
The maximum childcare benefit for up to one and a half years is set at 83,021.81 rubles (approximately $1,100 at current rates) per month.
Sick leave and maternity benefit payments are calculated based on a person«s earnings over the previous two years. Childcare benefits for up to one and a half years are paid to working parents at 40% of their average earnings over the last two years.
