Gasoline and passenger car prices fall in Altai Krai

In the previous few months, motorists faced a fuel shortage. In December, however, prices for both gasoline and used foreign cars decreased.

A recent report shows a downturn in fuel prices for the Altai Krai region after months of shortages.

In December 2025, gasoline prices decreased in the Altai Krai, according to data provided by the press service of the Bank of Russia with reference to Rosstat.

The decrease in fuel prices on the regional market is attributed to the completion of repairs at some oil refineries. At the same time, as the press service clarified, gasoline prices compared to December 2024 still increased, specifically by 11.11%.

— There has been a redistribution of supplies within the country. Today, automotive fuel is in sufficient supply on the market, so its cost has decreased over the month. At the same time, overall for the year, gasoline prices in the region have increased by 11%, — explained Andrei Ivanov, head of the Barnaul Branch of the Bank of Russia.

In addition, used foreign passenger cars have also become cheaper in the region due to a decline in demand. Overall, foreign cars in the region have become 9.23% cheaper. However, prices for computers, radio and television goods, tools, and equipment have also increased — demand for them has seasonally grown ahead of the New Year holidays.
