Fuel prices rise in Volgograd despite no queues

On the night of July 21, Volgograd saw an increase in motor fuel prices. In less than a month, a liter of gasoline became more expensive by about 50 kopecks (less than $1 at current rates). The following are current prices at different gas station chains.

At Lukoil filling stations, a liter of AI-92 now costs 66.04 rubles ($1), AI-95 — 73.5 rubles ($1), diesel fuel — 79.24 rubles ($1), AI-100 — 97.84 rubles ($1), and gas — 30.97 rubles ($0). On June 30, prices were lower: AI-92 was sold at 65.6 rubles ($1), AI-95 at 73.01 ($1), AI-100 at 96.64 ($1), diesel at 78.28 ($1), gas at 28.4 rubles ($0).

The Gazprom gas station chain set the following rates: AI-92 — 63.65 rubles ($1), AI-95 — 70.95 ($1), AI-100 — 95.4 ($1), diesel — 76.8 ($1), gas — 28.98 ($0). At the end of June, at these stations, AI-92 cost 63.15 ($1), AI-95 — 70.45 ($1), AI-100 — 92.4 ($1), diesel — 76.25 ($1), gas — 28.47 ($0).

At Rosneft stations, a liter of AI-92 costs 65.65 rubles ($1), AI-95 — 71.75 ($1), AI-95 «Pulsar» — 74.3 ($1), diesel fuel — 76.9 ($1), gas — 35.1 ($0). Earlier, at the end of June, these figures were lower: AI-92 — 65.15 ($1), AI-95 — 71.25 ($1), «Pulsar» — 73.8 ($1), diesel — 76.4 ($1), gas — 32.6 ($0).

The Volgograd Regional Committee of Industry and Trade reported stabilization of the fuel market and an increase in the gasoline limit to 40 liters per transaction. Economists, in turn, see no prerequisites for a reduction in fuel prices, even if the situation stabilizes.
