Investigative authorities in the Rostov region have charged former CEO of Gorizont JSC Igor Khokhlov. He is suspected of abuse of authority in the execution of multi-million-ruble state contracts for the production of electronic equipment for defense needs.
According to the Investigative Committee, between 2021 and 2023, Gorizont, which specializes in the creation of unmanned aircraft systems, concluded contracts with a state customer. As CEO, Khokhlov was responsible for the execution of these contracts. The investigation believes that in 2023, he arranged for the provision of financial documents with knowingly false data on the actual cost of manufacturing equipment.
As a result of the former executive«s actions, the Russian Defense Ministry suffered damage on an especially large scale — over 16 million rubles ($177,800). The court seized Igor Khokhlov»s property worth 20 million rubles ($222,200). He himself has given a confession in the criminal case.
Currently, the CEO of Gorizont JSC is Sergey Burka. According to open financial data, the company«s revenue at the end of 2024 amounted to 607.6 million rubles ($6,751,100), with a net loss of 181.6 million rubles ($2,017,800).
