Planning to invest money to make a profit? Be very careful: the Central Bank has identified signs of a financial pyramid in one of the companies operating in the market and has warned Perm residents about it. Future clients are being lured with marketplace gift certificates.

The Central Bank«s suspicions were raised by the company »Dobrolaif«, registered in Udmurtia, which promotes the Deep Cashback (DCB) project. The Bank of Russia has already included it in its warning list of companies showing signs of illegal activity.

The organizers of DCB urge people to join a digital loyalty program. They explain that to do so, one must buy a card by making an «initial contribution» of 5,000 to 100,000 rubles (about $56 to $1,100 at current rates). They promise to credit bonuses to the card, which can later be exchanged for gift certificates from marketplaces (which they call project partners).

«To participate in the project and increase your income, you need to attract new participants. At the same time, the company does not conduct any real or investment activity, which means it cannot guarantee the declared income,» explained the security department of the Perm branch of the Bank of Russia. «The existence of partnership agreements with marketplaces is not confirmed.»

DCB operates on the principles of multi-level marketing. Payments to «old» participants are made from the funds of new ones. The Central Bank clarifies that DCB does not conclude contracts for attracting funds. And when a project participant tries to withdraw money, the channel administrators first cite temporary technical difficulties and then stop responding altogether.

When advertising DCB, the organizers hold meetings with local residents in different cities. But in reality, all communication with clients takes place online, most often on Telegram, as clarified by the Perm Krai branch of the Central Bank.

«The Bank of Russia calls on consumers of financial services to be cautious when choosing a financial company and never to interact with illegal entities,» urged the Perm branch. «You can check whether a financial organization is operating legally on the website of the Bank of Russia.»

Earlier we reported that a company for which young people take out loans has entered Russian cities.
