BRK network sharply hikes fuel prices in Irkutsk

The BRK gas station network increased fuel prices on July 21. Irkutsk has been experiencing price instability for a month. We report what changed in the past day.

Rosneft continues to maintain the lowest fuel prices in Irkutsk.

AI-92 — 65.20 rubles ($1 at current rates);

AI-95 — 68.80 rubles ($1);

AI-100 — 95.55 rubles ($1);

diesel — 85.55 rubles ($1) (+0.15 rubles).

In second place in terms of price dynamics is the OMNI network. But at their stations, fuel prices did not increase overnight.

AI-92 — 77.90 rubles ($1);

AI-95 — 81.50 rubles ($1);

AI-100 — 121 rubles ($1);

diesel — 97 rubles ($1).

Prices at KraiNeft also remained unchanged.

As of the morning of July 20, prices were as follows:

AI-92 — 77.80 rubles ($1);

AI-95 — 81.40 rubles ($1);

AI-98 — 121 rubles ($1);

diesel — 97 rubles ($1).

However, prices at BRK rose significantly:

AI-92 — 77.70 rubles ($1) (+0.50 rubles);

AI-95 — 81.30 rubles ($1);

AI-100 — 121 rubles ($1) (+0.50 rubles);

diesel — 97 rubles ($1) (+0.50 rubles).

The Irkutsk region faced a fuel deficit in mid-June. Because of this, the head of the Angara region, Igor Kobzev, urged to use gasoline as sparingly as possible, and also to drive less private cars to quickly overcome the fuel crisis. The fuel deficit in the Angara region exceeded 80% by the end of the month.

After this, a high alert mode was introduced in the region, queues at Rosneft stations began to be regulated, and the sale of gasoline into canisters and other containers was banned. Since July 3, private companies began to gradually resume retail gasoline sales. The first were KraiNeft and BRK, and a few days later OMNI joined them.

Later, Kobzev determined a list of companies that can refuel out of turn and allowed residents of remote areas and farmers to pour fuel into canisters.
