Altai Krai places 16th among Russian regions for self-imposed loan bans

Altai Krai ranked 16th in the country by the number of self-imposed bans on obtaining loans for 2025 and January 2026. This was reported by the United Credit Bureau (OKB).
In January of this year, over 18,000 applications were submitted in Altai Krai for setting up self-bans, while there were 2,154 applications for lifting them. In total, since the service started operating, residents of the region have submitted 316,771 applications for setting up and 29,012 for lifting, according to the OKB.
For comparison, the neighboring Novosibirsk Oblast placed 10th in the ranking, and over the entire period of the service«s operation, 429,847 self-bans on loans were established there, with only 37,291 people deciding to remove the restrictions.
Earlier, NGS22.RU reported that Altai Krai entered the top thirty regions of Russia by the volume of lending to the population.
