A large gas boiler in the Central district of Aldan has begun conversion to run entirely on gas fuel at a cost of over 318 million rubles (approximately $3.5 million at current rates). Teploenergoservis JSC announced the selection of the winning contractor on the public procurement website.

According to the technical project contract, the boiler house must be fully retrofitted and ready for launch by 25 December 2027. The contractor has not been named yet; four participants came forward. The winner lowered the price by almost 34 million rubles (approximately $378,000 at current rates) from the initial contract value.

The boiler house construction project in the Aldan district is being implemented with budget funds and a treasury infrastructure loan. Within this framework, Yakutia will receive 869 million rubles (approximately $9.66 million at current rates) from the federal housing and utilities modernization program.

The new boiler house will be one of three; the other two are the Quartalnaya central heating point (with 138.8 million rubles, approximately $1.54 million, allocated so far) and ATKh-1 (requiring 144.5 million rubles, approximately $1.61 million). All three boiler houses will run on gas fuel and, according to the republic«s government, will significantly increase the reliability of Aldan»s heat supply, reduce fuel procurement costs, and cut operating expenses. The work is being carried out as part of connecting settlements along the Power of Siberia gas pipeline to gas.
