What Taganrog Breathed After Drone Attack: Test Results

After a drone attack, a fire broke out at oil product storage tanks in the seaport of Taganrog. This led to air pollution from oil combustion products, according to the Black Sea-Azov Sea Marine Department of Rosprirodnadzor (the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources).

Contamination was recorded within the boundaries of the seaport, which is located within the city limits. No air quality measurements are available for residential areas.

Rosprirodnadzor confirmed the contamination of water and the shore of Taganrog Bay with oil products.

The head of Taganrog, Svetlana Kambulova, initiated an inspection of the shores for oil products. The results are mixed. She noted that there are no traces of oil on the central beaches, but bags of fuel oil were found there.
