Minister reprimanded over illegal structures in national park
The environmental prosecutor issued a reprimand to the forestry minister of Nizhny Novgorod Region. The illegal structures found in the national park have already been demolished.

The Nizhny Novgorod interdistrict environmental prosecutor sent a reprimand to the minister of forestry and wildlife protection, Roman Vorobyov. The reason was the discovery of illegal structures within the boundaries of the national park.
Several structures were found in the specially protected natural area «Nizhny Novgorod Volga Region named after V. A. Lebedev». Part of this national park is under the jurisdiction of the Sosnovskoye district forestry.
The circumstances of the appearance of the structures and the identities of the violators are not disclosed. According to the supervisory agency, the objects have been dismantled as of now. As seen in the photos, a wooden house and a metal garage were demolished.
Earlier, in January, protective zones were established around three long-lived poplars in Nizhny Novgorod. Within these zones, any activity that could damage the natural monuments is prohibited.
