What to Watch in Orenburg Cinemas This Weekend

Movie lovers have gone just a week without premieres. This time, Orenburg audiences get five new films at once. Genres range from romantic drama to bloody horror. Here«s our traditional Friday movie guide from 56.RU.

The Old Eagle (12+)

How many older folks consider life in a village the best on earth? Pensioner Batraz Zelimkhanovich is one of them. He has lived in a remote mountain area for years when a local administrator brings bad news — relocation is imminent. The village, where only grandpa lives, is set for liquidation. All that«s asked of the old man is to agree to move to the city.

But the big city«s noise doesn»t tempt him, and he decides to save his small homeland at all costs. Salvation comes from... a newspaper. He stumbles on an article about Alpine villages drawing millions of tourists and decides his village could become an ecotourism spot. The catch is, he needs help from his son and grandchildren, who aren«t keen on rural life.

Elena is only half Japanese, which makes adapting to her new school tough. Her only friend becomes a strange classmate, Nyan, who insists the school is haunted. Lena doesn«t believe it at first, but gradually notices someone is always watching her. The otherworldly force even makes itself known through her headphones. Then she is horrified to see the other kids acting strangely too.
