Famous musicians and government officials gathered in Yekaterinburg on February 4 for a closed party celebrating the opening of the Year of Ural Rock.

In Yekaterinburg«s Kosmos concert hall on February 4, a closed party was held to mark the opening of the Year of Ural Rock. Among the invited guests were:
  • Yekaterinburg Mayor Alexei Orlov;
  • Sverdlovsk Region Health Minister Tatyana Savinova;
  • Acting Rector of UrFU Ilya Obabkov;
  • leader of the band Agata Kristi Vadim Samoilov;
  • founder of the band Urfin Jus Alexander Pantykin;
  • historiographer Dmitry Karasyuk and other notable figures.

The program opened with a medley of Ural rock hits performed by the B.A.C.H. orchestra. The evening ended with an autograph session, tickets for which cost from 10,000 to 15,000 rubles ($111–$167 at current rates).
A large number of guests brought thematic posters to the celebration.
