Trailer for Big Land Film Shot at Bruce Lighthouse Released
The trailer for the film «Big Land» (18+), shot in Primorye, is ready and can now be seen. The film itself will be shown in theaters — the premiere is on March 5, according to the Telegram channel Kinindustriya Primorya (Primorye Film Industry).
Filming took place on the Bruce Peninsula and in Vladivostok. The main location for the film was a local lighthouse, built over a century ago. It is located at a height of 66 meters above sea level and still guides sailors into the Amur Bay. Last year, the first photos from the set were published.
The plot unfolds on a Pacific island. There, Marfa grew up, played by Anastasia Kuimova. The girl«s father, whose role went to Pavel Maykov, served as the lighthouse keeper. The main heroine returns here after years with her son. At the same time, her half-brother Ilya arrives on the island, played at different ages by Artyom Bystrov and Ruzil Minekaev.
The brother and sister haven«t seen each other in a long time. They are connected by a dark secret, and although they try to forget the past, it catches up with them in the form of a mysterious whale that appears off the coast.
The film «Big Land» (18+), directed by Yulia Trofimova, participated in the competition of the festival «Okno v Evropu» (Window to Europe) and won two awards: the Russian Producers Guild Award and the Festival President«s Prize. Cinematographer Mikhail Dementyev received this award.
Actor Ruzil Minekaev, known for the role of Marat in the series «Slovo Patsana. Krov na asfalte» (The Boy«s Word: Blood on the Asphalt) (18+), shared on his social media walks around the surroundings of Slavyanka. There, he also said that he plans to return here again. After that, it became known that the young actor will star in another film, but this time in Vladivostok — a crime drama and action film with the working title »Pes« (Dog) (18+). It was reported that filming is planned for 2026.
The full-length film «Pes» (Dog) will tell the story of an old man — a former hitman suffering from Alzheimer«s disease and quietly living out his days in the backwoods. He is forced to rescue his kidnapped granddaughter together with her young man.
