Memorial Plans for Singer's Village and Street Stalled

In the hometown of singer Vasilya Fattakhova — Beloretsk — her memory will be immortalized: a street named in her honor will appear here.
As reported by the Beloretsk city administration, the street is planned in a new microdistrict that has yet to be built. Although the name has already been entered into the address registry, the project is at the stage of cadastral work. Notably, land plots in this area are planned to be provided under preferential programs in the future — for example, to large families and children of participants in the Special Military Operation.
This is not the first attempt to immortalize the singer«s name. In 2022, near Ufa, a whole village was planned to be named after her hit »Tugan Yak« (Native Land). The idea was proposed by Fattakhova»s ex-husband, Ilgiz Abdrakhipov. However, the project unexpectedly stalled — it turned out that the event was not an opening, but only a presentation.
«Nothing has opened yet, everything is stalled. There is no funding and no investor, it»s not relevant now. There were plans [for development] of the village,« commented the widower at the time.
Journalists from UFA1.RU made a report from that very village.
Vasilya Fattakhova was born in Beloretsk in 1979. She became a truly folk artist thanks to the song «Tugan Yak» (Native Land). The singer performed it in Tatar and Bashkir languages. The composition received recognition at major music festivals: it was named best in the «International Song» category at the «Crystal Nightingale» festival, and in 2008 it became a laureate of the «Best Hit of the Decade» award at the international Tatar song festival «Tatar Jiry».
