Heiresses of Famous Dynasties Perform 'Dynasties' in Chita

Representatives of three world-famous creative dynasties — ballerina Ilze Liepa, actress Alexandra Zakharova, and journalist, photographer, actress Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya — will perform the play «Dynasties» (12+) on the stage of the Transbaikal Regional Drama Theater in Chita on February 25. This was reported on February 4 on the portal «Culture75» citing the regional Ministry of Culture.

The production will be part of the festival-competition of patriotic songs named after Joseph Kobzon. It was directed by Maxim Lakhno, with music by composer Igor Demarin.

«Ilze is the daughter of ballet dancer Maris Liepa, a People»s Artist of the USSR and Lenin Prize winner. Alexandra is the daughter of legendary Lenkom director Mark Zakharov. Ekaterina is the daughter of poet Robert Rozhdestvensky, whose poetry became the voice of the «sixties generation,»« the report says.

The description of the production says that the keepers of the traditions of three bright dynasties will take the stage together to combine three art forms — ballet, poetry, and theatrical mastery — into a single artistic work: «Ilze Liepa, Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya, and Alexandra Zakharova, each with their own emotions and character, touchingly reveal themselves in interaction with each other. Turning the pages of the biography of three dynasties, the spectator becomes a participant in landmark events in the country»s cultural history.«

The performance lasts 1 hour 40 minutes and begins at 19:00 at the Transbaikal Regional Drama Theater.
