Family Wins Moscow Trip in Hometown Video Contest
The winning video features a family from Aginskoye sharing their love for their hometown through a personal narrative.
The Zhargalov family from Aginskoye won a trip to Moscow for four days in the video contest «My Family – My Village,» as reported on the page of former village head Andrey Dashin on VKontakte. He told Chita.Ru correspondent on January 24 that he plans to continue holding the contest in the future.
«The idea was mine, and I handled the organizational matters too. In financial matters, my friends helped. They paid for the flight and hotel stay in Moscow for first place. For second and third places, they also received good prizes — a large TV and a smartphone,» Dashin said.
In the video «Aginskoye: A History That Breathes» by Solbon Zhargalov, who came up with the idea and together with his family took first place, a family«s perspective on our past, present, and future is shown. The video can be viewed via link.
Second place was taken by the Zhimbayev family with a family story about their great-grandfather. Third place went to the Dugarov family with a video about their native language.
Dashin thanked in his publication for the help from information portals «Aginsky District Online,» «Aginskoye 24,» logistics company «Tamga» and its general director Bair Dugarov, entrepreneur and blogger Andrey Bolotov, individual entrepreneurs Alexey Prosvetov, Dondokov A.A., family cafe «Talkhan,» company «DASSAR» and general director Sarana Mizhitova.
