Director of Kuzbass Philharmonic Faces Disciplinary Action
The administration of the philharmonic repeatedly declined to respond to inquiries from the media.
The regional prosecutor«s office confirmed violations at the Kemerovo Philharmonic amid appeals from the NGS42.RU editorial board after the institution refused to respond to journalists» requests, the department«s press service reported on Sunday, February 1.
In November 2025, the NGS42.RU editorial board covered the story of unpaid governor«s bonuses to philharmonic employees. At that time, we sent two official requests to the institution to get a comment from the administration on the situation, but received no response. In connection with this, the editorial board sent complaints to the prosecutor»s office.
The supervisory authority, after reviewing the documents, concluded that the facts stated in the appeal about ignoring requests from the media were confirmed, and also clarified that all measures to correct and prevent similar violations towards the cultural organization have been applied.
In addition, the administration of the Kuzbass Philharmonic named after B.T. Shtokolov, represented by director Irina Sagaydak, has been brought to disciplinary responsibility. What exactly it is was not specified.
Earlier, the NGS42.RU editorial board detailed the incident with unpaid quarterly bonuses to institution employees, ultimately drawing attention to the event and an inspection at the «temple of the muses».
Similar inspections after complaints about violations of the media law have taken place in the Kuzbass administration, as well as in the regional Ministry of Health. Before that, for the same reason, the head of Mezhdurechensk was held accountable.
