Chelyabinsk singer Sasha Karabeshkina passes The Voice blind auditions

Alexandra Karabeshkina, a performer from Chelyabinsk, has passed the blind auditions on the show «The Voice» on Channel One. The episode aired on the evening of Friday, January 23.

In her introduction, the 26-year-old from Chelyabinsk said she has been singing her whole life—since she was three years old. On stage, she surprised the coaches not only with her performance of the song «Privet» by Zhenya Trofimov and «Komnaty kultury» (Culture Rooms) but also with unexpected improvisation. After the show, she explained that she added lyrics to the song about what she felt before stepping onto the stage and about the future that began when Ildar Abdrazakov turned his chair for her. This means Sasha is now on his team.

Alexandra explained on stage that she specializes in improvisation and can write a song «in the moment.» The coaches asked her to do it again, and the Chelybinsk native composed a verse on the spot.

«That»s really cool!« praised Vladimir Presnyakov.

«Well done!» supported Pelageya.

«You are a talent,» concluded Anna Asti.

Even after Sasha left the stage, the coaches discussed her improvisations for a long time.

After her performance, the Chelyabinsk singer said she had been trying for years to get on the show «The Voice»:

«This is not my first attempt, it»s my tenth casting, and finally, I am here. I started applying back in «The Voice Kids» when I was little. But we only get what we are ready for, so I was ready exactly now.«

In Chelyabinsk, she studied at the pop vocal studio »Tutti,« which is run by her mother, Elena Karabeshkina. Last year, Alexandra completed her master»s degree at the Moscow State Institute of Culture and now teaches at the same university.
